Makes 10 cookies

White candy writer

Approximately 70 pieces candy corn

20 round chocolate sandwich cookies

6 ounces black candy coating

10 Nutter Butter® cookies

20 candy eyeballs

10 orange candy–coated sunflower seeds

1.Prepare the white candy writer according to package directions.

2.Squeeze a generous dollop of white candy coating from the candy writer onto the small end of a piece of candy corn. Working one cookie at a time, gently press the candy coating–covered end of the candy corn into a round sandwich cookie, pressing between the two halves of the cookie, into the filling.

3.Repeat with six more pieces of candy corn, resulting in half the cookie having candy corn pieces sticking out to replicate turkey feathers. Repeat with nine additional sandwich cookies.

4.Allow the candy coating to set for at least 1 hour.

5.Prepare the black candy coating according to package directions. Spoon approximately 2 teaspoons of the coating onto the front of one sandwich cookie with attached candy corns.

6.Gently press one Nutter Butter® cookie onto the black candy coating–topped cookie to create the body of the turkey. Repeat with the remaining Nutter Butter® cookies. Allow the candy coating to set for at least 30 minutes.

7.If necessary, reheat the black candy coating according to package directions. Place approximately 2 teaspoons of black candy coating onto one of the remaining sandwich cookies.

8.Gently place a cookie turkey body upright onto the candy coating and hold it in place until the candy coating starts to set, approximately 1 minute. Repeat with the remaining nine sandwich cookies and cookie turkey bodies. Allow the candy coating to set for at least 30 minutes.

9.Prepare the white candy writer according to package directions. Place three small dots of candy coating onto the front face area of a Nutter Butter® cookie, where the eyes and a nose would be placed.

10.Gently press two candy eyes and an orange candy–coated sunflower seed onto the candy coating to create the turkey’s face. Repeat with the remaining cookies, candy eyeballs, and sunflower seeds. Allow to dry for at least 1 hour.
